Brian W. Hummel, M.D., F.A.C.S. Dr. Brian W. Hummel completed his undergraduate studies at the University of South Dakota and his medical education at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. His internship and surgical residency was accomplished at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School of Affiliated Hospitals in Dallas. He continued with a private practice thoracic and cardiovascular fellowship at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and a cardiothoracic and vascular fellowship at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. Dr. Hummel is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is past president of the Florida Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American College of Chest Physicians and American College of Cardiology. Dr. Hummel has been named to “Who’s Who” and has been designated as one of the “Best Doctors in America.” |
